Celebrities Gather for the Grand Opening of BARNEYS NEW YORK Fukuoka
Opening Reception
At 11 AM on Friday, September 16th, BARNEYS NEW YORK Fukuoka opened its doors. Approximately 500 people lined up before opening, and 8,500 visited on the first day. The evening before this highly successful opening, a reception party was held to celebrate the store's debut.

Finally, a Debut for Fukuoka's Fashion-Forward and Individually Expressive!
At the BARNEYS NEW YORK Fukuoka opening reception, guests from Fukuoka, as well as Tokyo and the Kansai region, were welcomed by the smooth sounds of jazz singer Aoi Yamaguchi on the B1 men's floor, and contemporary music curated by DJ Shinichi Osawa on the 3rd-floor women's level.
From Tokyo, guests included fashion magazine editors, fashion journalists, and celebrity Ai Haruna, all adding to the event's glamour.

The exhibition space on the 3rd floor, featuring dolls by doll artist Andrew Yang for his brand "Kouklitas," was particularly popular. Guests included Yoshie Abe, designer of "petite robe noire"; Chika Kizawa, designer of "RÉCITAL"; Mikako Nakamura, designer of "MIKAKO NAKAMURA"; Ayano Fukuoji, designer of "thinkpink"; Yukimi Kawashima, designer of "AULA AILA"; Ayumi Gunji, Creative Director of "VOGUE girl"; and Yukio Fujimaki of Fujimaki Corporation. They were seen embracing their respective dolls and enjoying conversations with Andrew Yang.

BARNEYS NEW YORK Fukuoka has arrived in Tenjin, Fukuoka's largest shopping district. In a city known for its high exchange of people and goods, and often called "the city with the most branches in Japan," the store will propose the latest fashion with an international flair.
