URU | Fall/Winter 2014-15 Collection
URU
Not just oversized, but a latest collection with meticulously reconstructed forms.
This season's theme: "imagine" all possibilities.
URU, a brand that doesn't adhere to seasonal themes, instead reflecting a single, overarching concept throughout its collections year-round. For this year, the theme is "imagine." Drawing on Masaharu Urushiyama's extensive technical skills and know-how cultivated as a patternmaker, he reconstructs menswear into new forms through his unique imagination.

Colors and shapes proposed each season
──What is the theme/concept for the 2014-15 Autumn/Winter collection?
The annual theme is "imagine." This season aims not to create one imagination (creation) from one thing, but to imagine (create) all possibilities.
──What points did you focus on for this season's look shoot, and what should people pay attention to?
We styled the looks to clearly express these points and shot them on film.
──What are the differences in styling, silhouette, and color compared to last year's Autumn/Winter collection?
We propose colors and shapes for each season. For this collection's colors, we've incorporated PURPLE at key points. Regarding silhouettes, we're proposing disciplined oversized fits. Our goal was not just to create large clothes, but to meticulously reconstruct their forms.
──What is the key look (coordination) for this season?
All of them are key looks.
Focus on the brand's first use of "black"
──What are the key items and key colors?
For the annual theme "imagine," we are using black for the first time as URU.
──What "materials" did you focus on this season?
Double-faced fabric made from Tasmanian wool.
