This season's theme is "The Next Vintage for the Next Era."
This April, ANACHRONORM celebrated its 10th anniversary. For the 2014-15 Autumn/Winter collection, they state, "We have curated a lineup that fully utilizes all the skills and knowledge we've cultivated over a decade of ups and downs." The season's theme is precisely "The Next Vintage for the Next Era."

A Collection Reimagining Vintage for Today
—What is the theme/concept for the 2014-15 Autumn/Winter collection?
This season's collection theme is "The Next Vintage for the Next Era." We've revisited the core philosophy of our brand since its inception: the creation of "the next vintage for a new era." This collection reinterprets vintage pieces, which in the 60s were not rarities but everyday "real clothes," for contemporary times. We are also releasing two limited-edition models, updated versions of the processed denim that was exclusively available for the first three years after the brand's founding in 2004. Furthermore, plans are underway for a commemorative book chronicling the brand's 10-year trajectory.
—What were the key points and what should we pay attention to in this season's lookbook shoot?
Using authentic items, we propose a style that embraces vintage not as an object of longing for the past, but as "real clothes" to be worn. It's a style where the wearer's individual background can be projected onto the clothing.
—What are the differences in styling, silhouette, and color compared to last year's Autumn/Winter collection?
We craft our items with a consistent concept throughout the year, so there aren't major differences. However, I'd like you to focus on items like denim pants, work jackets, and leather jackets, where the "processing" techniques that the brand has developed with our artisans over the past 10 years are vividly expressed.
—What is the key look (coordination) for this season?
The looks featuring the leather jackets (all-leather and wide-wale corduroy x leather) are designed to evoke a sense of character and narrative that can be imagined in various situations.
Focus on Wide-Wale Corduroy That Ages Beautifully
—What are the key items and key colors?
Key items include denim pants, work jackets, leather jackets, and sweatshirts, all featuring a worn-in processed finish. In particular, the denim pants, created under the concept of "what if you wore these continuously for 10 years since the brand's founding in 2004," are a must-see. Other notable items include quilted jackets and outerwear (coats, mountain parkas) with detachable liner vests.
—What "materials" did you focus on this season?
The wide-wale corduroy used in the switching rider's jackets and set-up style items is a thick 9-wale. Since the fabric is sulfur-dyed, it will age beautifully with each wear.
—What are your expectations for the web magazine OPENERS (http://openers.jp/)?
We look forward to continued, perhaps even pastoral, transmissions from OPENERS, not only in fashion but also with its unique perspective on the new era.
