Everyone has experienced it: being mindful of one's fingertips often means being conscious of how you appear during a "business card exchange." When you gaze at the other person's name card, your eyes inevitably drift to their nails. Well-groomed nails—their length, color, shine, and cuticle care—hold as much value for a man as a high-end suit. "Having that level of awareness" is akin to wearing polished shoes.

When I first heard about the concept of "Nail Oil" from Kiyo Watanabe of uka, I thought, "Indeed, what a clever product that would be."

Watanabe passionately explained the concept: "Don't men and women alike sometimes rest their chin on their hand, or touch their face? Wouldn't you use a product that, at those moments, releases a subtle, favorite scent and also promotes healthy nails?" It's true, we constantly use our fingertips on computers for daily work, and even more so for texting on our phones. During meetings, we might unconsciously prop ourselves up on an elbow or touch our face. What if, at those times, a natural fragrance wafted around...?

In practice, the most effective time I found to use it was during the post-lunch meeting. Feeling full and preparing for the meeting, a single application of uka Nail Oil shifted my mindset to "Alright, let's tackle the afternoon's work." And when drowsiness threatened, bringing my finger to my nose allowed me to refocus my attention (or so I lightly convinced myself).

These "personal little pleasures" aren't meant to be shown off, but this nail oil is smart in its appearance and size, allowing for discreet application. It even sparked conversations, with people asking, "What's that?"
