The 50 Most Stylish Men of the Past 50 Years

GQ, the esteemed men's fashion magazine, featured "THE 50 MOST STYLISH MEN OF THE PAST 50 YEARS" to commemorate its 50th anniversary. In this feature selecting the 50 most stylish men of the past half-century, Steve McQueen was chosen, following Marcello Mastroianni.

While he often played cool, nihilistic characters in his many film roles, the photobook "STEVE McQUEEN" by William Claxton captures the charm of the young McQueen in his thirties, from his roguish expressions in shots of him on cars and motorcycles on the cover, to his intimate, at-home moments with his family.

He truly was a man who looked superb in cars, motorcycles, and sunglasses.

The Model Worn in the Final Scene of "The Thomas Crown Affair" - the "0714" - Is Here!

The sunglasses worn on the photobook's cover are the folding model from the prestigious Italian brand Persol. These were not only his private favorites but were also worn in the final scene of the film "The Thomas Crown Affair" (1968).

This rare model has now been reissued and will be exclusively sold until December through web shopping rumors and the men's shop "Rafineria Marunouchi" in Tokyo's Marunouchi district.

With classic sunglasses models being reissued one after another and proving immensely popular this season, the most anticipated one has finally been released.
