An ideal opportunity to engage with the designer's worldview and enjoy a conversation with them.

An intriguing initiative has launched at Tokyo Midtown's "21_21 DESIGN SIGHT Gallery 3." "REMOTE WORKS@21_21" allows companies and designers to utilize the space as a remote office, which also transforms into an outward-facing shop during the exhibition period. The first installment features product designer Hisakazu Shimizu (S&O DESIGN) and runs until December 27th (Tuesday).

New works "Framed Mirror Hairstyles" and "SUITE FURNITURE" also available for purchase at the venue.

This exhibition, "REMOTE WORKS @ 21_21 01: Hisakazu Shimizu (S&O DESIGN)," showcases Hisakazu Shimizu, known for his designs that appeal to a wide range of ages and his unique activities. He develops products using his proprietary 3D design process, "Continuous Design," and his design research, "Love's Bad Design," focuses on items that possess a humorous presence, even if not conventionally "good design."
Following his solo exhibition "The Designs of Hisakazu Shimizu" held at the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum this autumn, the venue will display products and works created by Mr. Shimizu. Visitors can purchase items such as chocolates shaped like the popular Setouchi Triennale artwork "Olive's Pompadour," the "Tofa Furniture" series from Isamiya, a furniture maker in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, and his new works, "Framed Mirror Hairstyles" and "SUITE FURNITURE." During the exhibition, you can explore the designer's journey and enjoy interactions with him. We encourage you to visit the venue.
