Kamaasa Shoten, a purveyor of cooking utensils with a history dating back to 1908. For over 100 years, the company, a professional in cooking tools, has been dedicated to chefs and their equipment in Tokyo's Kappabashi district. Now, they are releasing their original charcoal grill.

Charcoal grilling, widely used in Japanese cuisine, is known as an excellent cooking method. It quickly sears the surface, locking in umami and enhancing aroma. Beyond drawing out the deliciousness of ingredients, charcoal grilling over a distant flame offers a multitude of charms.
We turn our attention to the new product, 'Kamaasa's Charcoal Grill,' which allows for casual enjoyment of such charcoal grilling. This is the work of Kamaasa Shoten, a Kappabashi-based cooking utensil store in Tokyo, enabling authentic charcoal grilling with ease.
The first feature is its user-friendly compact size, while retaining professional-level functionality. The exterior is made of stainless steel, resistant to heat and rust, while the interior uses Niijima's volcanic stone, capable of withstanding heavy commercial use. It also includes air vents for easy heat adjustment.
Secondly, the dedicated grill net is also made of stainless steel, boasting commercial-grade quality. As it is uncoated, no foreign substances will adhere to food. The wire thickness is 2.5mm, thicker than standard nets, ensuring safe and repeated use. With a portable handle, it seems versatile for both home and outdoor use.
Sales will begin in early September at the Kappabashi Main Store and the official online shop. It will also be available at the Kamaasa Shoten POP UP STORE [Good tools have a reason] held at Hankyu Men's Tokyo starting September 8th.
