Cutlery developed exclusively for grains like pasta and risotto | PROOF OF GUILD
PROOF OF GUILD
Unprecedented Cutlery Combining Mutual Wisdom and Skill
Soup spoons, fish spoons, fish knives, coffee spoons, tea spoons… there are many types of cutlery, but for some reason, I’ve never seen cutlery specifically designed for grain-based dishes like pasta and risotto. PRIMO was born from this very question. Behind its development were talented twin brothers.

For example, when eating pasta at home, some people might use just a fork to minimize washing up. However, a fork alone is not always sufficient, and there's the small issue of wishing you could scoop up more sauce or ingredients.
While various specialized cutlery exists today, there is no cutlery designed specifically for grain-based dishes such as pasta and risotto.
Thus, PRIMO was created. The development was undertaken by Minoru Takeuchi of PROOF OF GUILD, known for its concept of "proof of craftsmanship" and custom-made jewelry and various products, and his twin brother, Ken Takeuchi, owner and chef of the Italian restaurant vicino.
They went through numerous prototypes to arrive at this design, which integrates a spoon and fork with minute adjustments to every detail. PRIMO was completed through the collaboration of manufacturers and artisans in Tsubame-Sanjo, from mold making to production and finishing.
Beyond pasta, it's perfect for curry and all kinds of grain dishes. The actions of "piercing and scooping" also hint at its potential as a new kitchen tool.
The packaging is also meticulously considered. Given that this is a novel type of cutlery, one might have expected luxurious packaging. However, they chose to minimize costs with the most basic packaging possible, making it accessible in price.
"Fork, spoon, Primo, knife" – the Takeuchi brothers continue their craft, hoping for the day when these will be called out as naturally as any other utensil.
