The Advantage of Being Ultra-Thin and Iron Under the Influence of Wind, Where Quick Cooking is Essential
Kaisen Yamasen Kai, captivated by Matsuo Basho's philosophy of life—"On the journey every day, making the journey my home"—proposes various products based on the belief of viewing the world with new eyes, which is akin to making the journey one's home. We turn our attention to their signature product, the 'Tabi Tetsu,' which has gained popularity in outdoor settings.

Kaisen Yamasen Kai, comprising members deeply familiar with enjoying the outdoors, distinguishes itself from typical outdoor brands. Their commitment and passion are known to permeate the finest details of their products, and the iron cookware 'Tabi Tetsu' introduced here is no exception.
They meticulously examined materials and manufacturing methods for three years before product development, finally settling on Yamada Kogyosho in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. This company is renowned for its 'Uchidashi' (hammered) technique, striking iron thousands of times, and is a manufacturer of woks that garners immense support from chefs and enthusiasts alike.
By hammering thin iron into shape, two types of 'Tabi Tetsu' were completed as iron cookware. The 'Tabi Tetsu 500' can cook 0.75 go of white rice and is also characterized by its usability as a plate.
The 'Tabi Tetsu 750' is the ideal size for quickly stir-frying meat and eggs. It features holes on both ears, allowing for the attachment of handles. Handles made of brass by 'Lue,' based in Okayama, are also sold separately. The appeal of iron as a material lies in its ability to develop character over time.
