Establishing a New Studio for Further Research
After studying architecture, art, and design at university, Adam Silverman moved to Los Angeles to work as an architect. A few years later, he became a co-founder of the fashion brand XLARGE®. In 2003, he transitioned to ceramics, a path he had previously pursued only for close friends. Driven by a desire to "show the process in the pottery," he captivates many with his novel forms and the textures born from the interplay of earthy expression and innovative glazes.
This year, Adam established a new studio in Glendale, California, for further ceramic research. The exhibition 'GLENDALE WORK' takes its name from this location. A total of 21 pieces, completed after repeated trial and error, will be displayed at the exhibition space, CURATOR’S CUBE.
Ten years have passed since his work was presented at Playmountain in Sendagaya, Tokyo. We are eager to experience Adam's evolving body of work, still reflecting his vigorous spirit of experimentation.
