Lawrence Jenkin, who supported the golden age of British eyewear in the 1970s and made a name for himself as the designer of the long-established brand "Anglo American Optical," launched "Lawrence Jenkin Spectacle Maker" in 2014. The brand is said to be a revival of good old British eyewear craftsmanship. Now, the brand is releasing "Original Collection V2," a minor update to its original collection.

At 78 years old, Lawrence Jenkin designs and manufactures his eyewear himself. While he once benefited from mass production as a designer, he now crafts his glasses in a small London workshop using methods close to cottage industry.
His eponymous brand, "Lawrence Jenkin Spectacle Maker," was launched in 2014. It manufactures and sells only classic designs under the "Original Collection" banner.
The collection had been a long-seller for six years, but as a designer, Jenkin felt compelled to revisit his creations based on the belief that "excellent design embraces updates." This led to the refined "Original Collection V2."

The updates are significant, focusing on three key areas: changes to the thickness of the front material, improvements to the height and angle of the nose pads, and adjustments to the length of the temples. While these may seem like minor details, they result in increased durability, improved fit, and better hold compared to previous models.
This collection reflects the passion of a designer who, despite his profound understanding of eyewear, continues to push boundaries. Available from September 17th.
