Revival of the Pinnacle of Showa-era Celluloid Eyewear

Sabae City in Fukui Prefecture is known as a center for eyewear production. 'NTS' was an original brand developed by an eyewear factory founded in 1932, operating from the 1960s to the mid-1980s.

The celluloid 'No.3' model became synonymous with post-war eyewear, with monthly production reaching 30,000 units. The two-tone colorway, featuring a contrast between the upper and lower sections with a transparent lower half, was particularly popular and spawned numerous imitations at the time.

Now, through the passionate efforts of Toshiyuki Araoka of Blink Gaidenmae and Blink Base, these glasses have been faithfully reproduced under the supervision of Koichi Takeuchi (Sun Optical, Representative), who manufactured the 'No.3' model back then. They will be sold in limited quantities. Experience the enduring appeal of these timeless pieces for your eyes.
