In 2019, marking the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Finland, Artek announces the "FIN/JPN Friendship Collection" for both countries.

The first release is the "Stool 60 'Ystävä'", launching this December. This piece embodies the philosophy of "excellent design for everyone's life" with its signature "Stool 60" design, distinguished by a wood-grain seat and legs featuring natural knots and patterns.


'Ystävä' means 'friend' in Finnish. This stool, a culmination of Artek's modernist philosophy and craftsmanship, carries the sentiment of celebrating the friendship between Japan and Finland and wishing for a long-lasting relationship. It will be available exclusively in Japan until the end of 2019.
