Katsutoshi Mizuno to Visit on March 30th (Sat), 31st (Sun), and April 1st (Mon)

This exhibition of ceramics, "Katsutoshi Mizuno's White Porcelain," features a wide array of small lidded vessels, perfect for soups, condiments, sweets, and desserts. Since becoming independent from Kutani Seigama, Mizuno has dedicated himself solely to white porcelain, creating pieces with a clear, refined, and sharp finish. His work possesses a dignified presence, reflecting his fascination with the ceramics of the Goryeo Dynasty, and the Northern Song Dynasty of China.

In addition to the lineup of Katsutoshi Mizuno's ceramics, this event invites culinary artist Hiroe Nanzan, allowing visitors to plate dishes onto the ceramics and enjoy them on the spot. Within the interior space of TIME & STYLE, guests can sit at their preferred dining table and savor the combination of ceramics and cuisine.

During the event, both Mizuno and Nanzan will patiently answer questions about ideas for using the ceramics, recipes, and basic plating techniques. Moving beyond the individual charm of the ceramics, the focus will be on demonstrations that highlight the balance between ceramics and food, offering practical tips for users.

Katsutoshi MIZUNO
Born in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture in 1960. After graduating from university in 1981, he enrolled in the Seto Pottery Training School. Joined Kutani Seigama in 1982. Became independent in Hirota Village, Ehime Prefecture in 1990. Relocated to Kure City in 2010.
