A Herringbone Damascus Pattern Crafted from 101 Layers of Stainless Steel
Bob Kramer is a knife maker so esteemed that people say, "If it's a knife, it must be Bob Kramer." Drawing from his experience as a chef, he places great importance on the "sharpening" process. The knives he creates are characterized by their exceptionally thin blades and razor-sharp edges. He is particularly adept at Damascus steel (metal made by layering different types of steel to create beautiful wave-like patterns), and his signature touch is truly remarkable. The way his knives feel as if they meld into your hand is so exceptional that even professional chefs describe it as magic.
The ZWILLING "Bob Kramer Series" released this time beautifully reproduces Bob Kramer's signature "Chevron Damascus Pattern," a herringbone motif created from 101 layers of stainless steel. The steel incorporates ZWILLING's proprietary MicroCarbide technology, achieving a hardness of HRC63, a level of blade rigidity that rivals traditional Japanese knives.
Furthermore, the handles are ergonomically designed to fit the natural curve of the hand, and are crafted from Micarta, a material known for its robustness and durability.
