A highly anticipated new product has been released from Fukui-based lifestyle brand MOHEIM.
The "BRICK STAND" is a recycled brick umbrella stand with a minimal volume, designed for casual use at entrances or on porches. The design was handled by Wataru Kumano, who is involved in interior, furniture, and product design, as well as project management, both in Japan and internationally.
While its rustic appearance is a key feature, the materials include recycled clay, as well as ceramic waste and mining byproducts that would otherwise be discarded. With sustainability in mind, over 70% recycled materials are used, resulting in a unique color and pattern for each piece.
In addition to being an umbrella stand, it can also be used as a doorstop. Its minimal and sustainable design reflects the brand's philosophy. Scheduled for release on July 22, 2022.
