KAMARQ, a furniture venture, has been advancing various projects with the aim of revolutionizing the furniture industry.

"QM weather.", an IoT signage that lets you feel the weather, is the result of a joint development between KAMARQ, startup studio QUANTUM, and design studio artless. It displays weather forecasts on a transparent panel using the light patterns and colors of weather icons.

When you set the desired region for the weather forecast on the smartphone app, it automatically retrieves the weather forecast from the internet. The weather is expressed through the lighting, blinking, and color of the icons.

The "atoms" that create natural phenomena and the "PIXEL" that conveys information from the net. The "dot" serves as a design element, representing the smallest unit. The weather icons are formed by a collection of dots of varying sizes, appearing as floating light sculptures when illuminated.

We have expressed big data of weather with peaceful and minimal icons. Without outlines, it appears as if embroidered on a transparent matrix, conveying a sense of futuristic technique. Light from the bottom strikes the various patterns and angles of the icons, reflecting light in multiple directions and creating greater brilliance and luminosity.

The "Mon" (crests) were created by applying Japanese aesthetics and sensibilities to the myriad phenomena of nature, a concept rooted in ancient Japan. For sunny days, "Hidera" (sun's rays); for cloudy days, "Kumo" (clouds); for rain, "Kasa" (umbrella); and for snow, crystals were selected and designed.

artless version
An icon that strikingly features dots, reminiscent of the period in the "QM weather." logo. Designed with lines to create an icon that feels unobtrusive and gently accompanies daily life, complemented by text in artless's original typeface.
