MAGIS and Grcic's Recent Focus: Cast Iron Techniques
From the Italian design powerhouse "MAGIS" comes an objet inspired by the mule, a hybrid of the donkey and horse. The mule's character—"patient, strong, and steadily moving forward one step at a time"—is said to form the bedrock of the brand's spirit. Now, an objet designed by German designer Konstantin Grcic, also inspired by the mule, has been released.
The objet, named "Ettore" after a hero from mythology, utilizes cast iron techniques that "MAGIS" and Grcic have been developing in recent years. It weighs approximately 5 kilograms. With its feet firmly planted, a powerful yet endearing expression—these qualities seem to embody the brand itself. It can also be used as a bookstand or doorstop.
