Schönbuch

Furniture of calculated subtraction. Also note the accompanying cushion.

Schönbuch, a furniture manufacturer founded in Germany in 1960, is known for its minimalist design, typical of German craftsmanship, and its expertise in case goods like cabinets. The "ADD ON," designed by Martin Heath and released this year, is a piece of furniture that can serve as a bench with its included cushion, or as a side table without it. The MDF with lacquer finish gives the surface an appearance, depending on the angle, as if folded sheet metal is floating. The fabric for the accompanying cushion is a collaboration between Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat and fashion brand Raf Simons.
