Design studio OYYO was founded in Sweden in 2011 by Lina Zedig and Marcus Åren. In 2014, they presented their first rug collection using the traditional flatweave rug technique called Dhurrie from India. Since then, they have continued to explore plant-based dyes and textile production methods, culminating in the completion of their second rug collection. This "No.2 Collection" is handwoven by artisans in Rajasthan, a desert region of India, with its soft hues derived from seven dyes produced from local plants. By incorporating elements of both Dhurrie and Scandinavian design, such as using linen for the warp, it has resulted in a contemporary collection.
