Stacked time on the tape's surface. Copper tape crafted by a Berlin stationery store | LUIBAN
LUIBAN
Imprint small objects by pressing them onto the surface
The copper tape from Berlin stationery shop "LUIBAN" is made of copper and has a texture like thinly rolled aluminum foil. Because it's copper, oxidation begins immediately upon contact with air, after which it develops a richer patina. The inspiration for its development came from garden ribbons. The idea originated from copper tape used around plant pots to deter snails.
Unlike conventional fabric or paper tapes, it features wrinkles, stretches, and a distinct thickness when layered. Its thin foil-like nature also allows for imprinting small objects by pressing them onto the surface. While it's meant to be enjoyed for its aging process in daily use, it would also be a welcome addition for subtle gift wrapping.
