Full-Scale Launch in Japan Begins

Kinassand was founded over 200 years ago in Kinna, a town in southern Sweden. Its curtains and rugs, crafted using high-quality materials and techniques, are characterized by modern, sophisticated designs with meticulous attention to detail, establishing it as a timeless Scandinavian design brand.

In 2012, it became a Kvadrat brand, the Danish textile company, and continues to propose new lifestyles while leveraging traditional craftsmanship.

Curtains and Rugs in 26 Variations

The "ZOOM" 2016 new textile collection, unveiled this time, was created by Kinassand's Creative Director Isa Glink. It is a collection of curtains and rugs that maximizes the beauty of each material. Comprising 25 curtain variations and silk rugs, the collection showcases textiles that emphasize the beautiful twisting techniques for which Kinassand is known.

The curtains, rich in texture and utilizing the inherent characteristics of their materials, are meticulously woven to blend seamlessly into the fabric. Upon close inspection, intriguing patterns and three-dimensional surfaces emerge, offering a luxurious tactile experience.

Furthermore, by incorporating graphic and architectural elements into the manufacturing process, new pattern combinations result in unique textiles with unprecedented structures.

At the Kvadrat showroom, a special installation curated by Jo Nagasaka is also on display, offering a glimpse into the new possibilities of textiles.


Isa Glink
Kinassand Creative Director
After graduating from the Royal College of Art in London and the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, she gained experience as a textile design manager, handling trend consulting for designers and companies. She was appointed Creative Director of Kinassand in 2002.
The collections designed by Isa Glink have received numerous prestigious domestic and international design awards, including the German Design Award, Interior Innovation Award, ICFF Editors Award, German Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Red Dot Design Award. Her "UNI/VERSE" collection for Kinassand, launched in 2014, received the "Best of Best" award at the Interior Innovation Awards.
