The "THANK YOU Tote" is a bag made of polyester, designed to mimic the look of the plastic bags commonly used at American grocery stores and markets. The design and manufacturing are by "OPEN-EDITIONS," a unique collective based in San Francisco, the first city in the US to enact a ban on plastic bags. The "THANK YOU" lettering on the tote is embroidered. By adopting a design that is the antithesis of eco-friendly, it carries a message and irony about the abolition of plastic bags. Its size is also well-suited for use as an everyday tote. The lettering will be available in five colors.
