Ilmari Tapiovaara is a pioneer of modern design in Finland and a master who throughout his life created highly versatile furniture adaptable to all uses and environments.
Among his works, the "Aslak Chair" can be considered one of his definitive answers, arrived at after repeated trials and verifications of materials, design, and techniques, aiming to maximize the use of limited materials and blend into any environment or purpose.
The "Aslak Chair" is now reissued in 2020, featuring five color variations.
As a result of pursuing more sustainable materials and production methods, it is now produced in a factory in Italy, rich in beech wood. The beautiful curves of the beech wood, the seat that follows the human body, and the short, curved armrests serve their purpose while being designed for easy pulling up to a table.
More than half a century after its conception, Ilmari Tapiovaara's vision of creating maximum comfort from limited resources and elements bears fruit once again.
We hope you find your own unique chair that can be used for a long time in any environment, from the office to the home.
