Børge Mogensen, a master who led Danish Modern design, dedicated his life to improving people's lives, pursuing simple, functional furniture loved across generations. Now, Carl Hansen & Søn is releasing a shelf system designed by the master in 1953 that remained unreleased until now.

The "BM0253 Shelf System" is a modular furniture piece where shelves and cabinets can be freely combined. Its ability to adapt to user needs and changes perfectly embodies Mogensen's design concept of "Building Furniture" (furniture that can be constructed), which he advocated during his lifetime.

The shelves and cabinets are made of solid wood. Cabinet doors can be chosen from lacquered MDF or solid wood. The range includes oak and walnut in oil or white oil finishes.

The lacquered MDF doors are available in colors noted on Mogensen's original drawings: grey, reddish-brown, blue, and green. Black is also an option.

The metal supports are finished in grey or black powder coating. The meticulous craftsmanship evident in every detail showcases Carl Hansen & Søn's exceptional technical skill.
