Hans J. Wegner is renowned for his iconic Wishbone Chair. This legendary designer would have turned 106 this year.

To honor his legacy, Carl Hansen & Søn is releasing the 2020 limited edition commemorative model, the 'CH24 | Y-Chair Limited Edition 2020,' on his birthday, April 2nd.

The frame is crafted from beech wood with a lustrous 'Glossy Navy Blue' finish, curated by Ilse Crawford, a London-based designer. The seat is made from natural paper cord.

Inspired by the Asian design and traditional crafts that greatly influenced Wegner, she selected a deep 'Glossy Navy Blue,' adding a contemporary sensibility and a timeless, lustrous expression.

Produced continuously by Carl Hansen & Søn since 1950, this Y-Chair, enhanced by the modern designer's vision, embodies the company's high technical skill and proud craftsmanship. It offers profound and enduring value, transcending the simple label of 'masterpiece.'
