A Beautiful Stool Crafted with Tendo Mokko's Molded Plywood Technique

"LEXUS Collection" conveys Lexus's "vision" and "craftsmanship."

A stool, produced by Tendo Mokko, has now been added to the lineup.

This is a Lexus original stool, inspired by the spindle grille, the symbol of "LEXUS," where years of accumulated know-how and the masterful skill of artisans are brought to life, from material selection to finishing.

The stool uses no metal fittings such as nails or screws for its joints. The parts are assembled using Tendo Mokko's renowned molded plywood technique.

This molded plywood is a core technology also used in the production of "LEXUS" steering wheels. This technique results in a design where the characteristic wood grain is showcased with enhanced beauty. Furthermore, the three-dimensionally cut cross-section on the side adds depth to the layered wood.

Two types of surface materials are available: Japanese cedar and artificial striped grain. Artificial striped grain, also used in Lexus interiors, is offered in two colors: a natural shade and a deep black.

While the stool possesses an object-like, unique beauty, its natural finish allows it to blend easily into any interior. Beyond serving as a stool, it can function as a side table, or perhaps hold seasonal flowers, stimulating the user's imagination.
