The small furniture system proposed by Richard Hutten | DANESE

DANESE

The combination is up to the user. A product tailored to space and purpose.

Richard Hutten, a central figure of the Dutch design collective Droog Design and known for igniting the Dutch Design boom of the 1990s.
Launched by the Italian company Danese, 'Familia' is a small furniture system that invites users to define its use. By combining pole parts, available in various lengths, with several hook parts and tops, it transforms into products such as a coat stand, umbrella stand, table, or partition.
Richard Hutten designed this product with the image of plants sprouting from the same pot and growing into various forms.
The spherical hook parts are said to be inspired by the clover shape in Enzo Mari's screen prints. It can be used freely in offices, homes, and public spaces.
