CARL HANSEN & SØN
A Designer's Signature Work, Pursuing Harmony Between Beauty and Function
The Carl Hansen & Søn collection of Danish furniture masterpieces now includes the "BM1160 Hunting Table," first introduced by Børge Mogensen in 1950.
The table, composed of slightly splayed trestle legs and a veneered top, showcases Mogensen's design philosophy of "prioritizing function for use" in every detail, evident in the craftsman-like wooden wedges and brass supports that join the legs and top.
Upon its release, one design critic praised its elegant yet powerful form as "design art." The table is available in oak, walnut, or a combination of oak and walnut. The supports can be chosen in brass or stainless steel.
