A sofa that feels like holding a brioche in your hands, according to the designer.
The "Officina" collection by popular designer brothers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec uses "forging" – the art of shaping metal by hammering. This technique, rarely used in contemporary furniture, was deliberately chosen. Since 2014, they have released chairs, tables, and coat hangers from this collection, all met with acclaim.
Now, a sofa has joined the collection. The design began with the idea of placing soft, pillow-like cushions onto the inorganic forged frame. The polyurethane seat, covered in fabric, offers exquisite comfort. You might forget the passage of time while sinking into it. The frame is available in two finishes: chrome plating and paint.
