Norway's leading young design duo, Anderssen & Voll, release new work with MAGIS
Inspired by bicycle frame structures during material development
A highly anticipated new product has arrived from MAGIS, known globally as a design laboratory whose movements are always closely watched. "Sequoia" is a high stool created by the Norwegian design unit Anderssen & Voll. As the name "Sequoia" suggests a giant tree of the cypress family, the concept for this product is "the forest." Its form is inspired by the branching of a tree trunk.
While the welds and other parts show a resemblance to bicycles, the inspiration for the steel tube material development came from bicycle frame structures. The seat height, which supports a stable seating surface, is available in two types: 77cm and 66cm. It comes in a rich palette of six colors.
