New Items Exclusive to "2G" at Shibuya PARCO

A new style of studio, "2G," where three companies active in their respective fields—a "gallery" by NANZUKA, a "select shop" by Motofumi "Poggy" Kogi and Daytona International, and "art toys" by MEDICOM TOY—will make announcements with their own unique perspectives and sometimes with synergy. Here, we introduce some of MEDICOM TOY's new products from March. All items are limited in quantity, and sales will end once stock is depleted.

Details on the sales methods for each product will be announced sequentially on the MEDICOM TOY official blog, social media, and other channels.

Russell Maurice, a contemporary artist known for "Crying Dog." At his latest solo exhibition, which explores the fate of humanity where human decay after nuclear catastrophe and digital evolution coexist, he unveiled his new product, "Atomic Worm." This piece, exuding a presence unique to ceramic, will be released in a limited edition of 20 pieces, each with a lot number.
Born in Newcastle, UK, in 1975, Russell Maurice is based in Tokyo and London, and currently resides in Tokyo. He began graffiti at age 12, and using funds raised from 10 custom T-shirts he hand-painted for friends, he launched his first graffiti brand, GASFACE, in '93.
In parallel with his activities at GASFACE, he was appointed Head Graphic Designer for the fashion brand MAHARISHI in '98. The camouflage pattern he designed gained worldwide popularity and greatly contributed to MAHARISHI's success.
In '03, GASFACE was renamed GASIUS. The brand evolved into a more refined style, releasing collections inspired by environmental issues, ancient civilizations, 70s logos, 80s comics, and 90s skate culture.
Around this time, he began actively holding art exhibitions worldwide and resigned from his position in '05 to deepen his artistic pursuits. In '08, he pursued Fine Art at the postgraduate level at Central Saint Martins (completing his Master's degree). In 2010, he was selected for Bloomberg New Contemporaries, known as a gateway for emerging artists, and gained international acclaim as an artist.
In March of this year, he held a solo exhibition titled "Crawl out from the fallout" at SO1 Gallery in Harajuku, Tokyo. The exhibition, themed around a "post-apocalyptic future," featured paintings, collages, photographic works, and second editions of sculptures co-created with Medicom Toy.
Among these, the new product "Atomic Worm," manufactured by the renowned Kagoshima ceramic studio ONE KILN, garnered particular attention. Now, the gold version of this piece will be sold at 2G in Shibuya PARCO in a limited edition of 20 pieces with lot numbers.
