The "SORAYAMA TYRANNOSAURUS," launched at an art event in Thailand, is now available as a figure.

From October 16 to November 17, 2019, "SORAYAMA SPACE PARK by AMKK" was held to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Central Embassy, a luxury shopping mall in Bangkok frequented by high-end brands from Japan and abroad.

The centerpiece was a colossal 11-meter-long, 3.74-meter-high aluminum cyborg Tyrannosaurus designed by Hajime Sorayama, a world-renowned Japanese artist. Within the space, five smaller Tyrannosaurus figures were displayed, each on a pedestal adorned with floral arrangements by AMKK, led by artist Makoto Azuma, evoking imagery of the moon, jungle, desert, glacier, moss, and lake.

This grand installation was realized through a collaboration between NANZUKA in Japan and EchoOne NANZUKA in Thailand, a project born from the earnest request of Central Embassy's managing director, a devoted fan of artist Hajime Sorayama.

Sorayama, a lifelong dinosaur enthusiast since childhood, has been depicting the Tyrannosaurus, the largest terrestrial carnivore, in metallic hues using his airbrush technique since the 1980s. This project stemmed from his desire to breathe life into his signature cyborg dinosaurs.

The "SORAYAMA TYRANNOSAURUS," which also featured in DIOR's Pre-Fall 2019 Men's Collection, has garnered attention from fashion aficionados. The figure, exclusively released at 2G, retains the form and details of the original installation, scaled down to approximately 600mm in length, and finished with a lustrous silver plating. Admire Sorayama's signature aesthetic evident in the articulated joints and the SORAYAMA signature on the left leg, and perhaps contemplate the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 66 million years ago, when the Tyrannosaurus roamed the Earth.
