The name is inspired by "Calisson," a traditional confection from the Provence region of Southern France.
Taishi Fujimori has been practicing and presenting new ways of furniture design for elementary and middle schools, public facilities, high-end brands, and offices. He has now released the sofa system "Calisson" from furniture maker "arti," which adapts to various environments depending on how it's combined.

"Calisson" is a sofa system consisting of three types of sofas and two types of benches. Each has a hexagonal seat and can be combined at 90-degree angles. This allows for the creation of various arrangements, such as ring, zigzag, or tile-like configurations.
The seating comfort is also noteworthy. The flat seat incorporates thin coil springs, designed to minimize vibration transfer between users, allowing for a shared comfortable cushioning experience. Furthermore, the backrest core features a comb-like slit processing, allowing it to conform to the sitter's body.
Currently, the "Calisson Exhibition" is being held at the arti showroom. Interior stylist Yumi Nakata is presenting a variety of scene proposals at the venue. We invite you to experience the simple form that harmonizes with its surroundings and the exquisite seating comfort.
