Fendi Unveils Armchair Adorned with "Bag Bugs"
At the 2015 Salone del Mobile, Fendi presented a collaboration with the Campana brothers. The result is a unique, one-of-a-kind armchair, creatively assembled from the brand's iconic fur charms, "Bag Bugs."

A Singularly Ironic and Luxurious Item
The Campana brothers, Fernando and Humberto, are a designer duo from São Paulo, Brazil. They have received numerous awards for their work, which showcases a surreal aesthetic and a distinctly Brazilian sensibility. Their relationship with Fendi is deep-rooted; in 2013, they collaborated on an eccentric, one-off cabinet crafted from Kidassia (long-haired goat) fur.
The piece unveiled this time, the "Armchair of a Thousand Eyes," is born from the fusion of the Campana brothers' avant-garde creativity and the playful, ironic world of Fendi's "Bag Bugs." Fendi's artisans specially crafted over 100 "Bag Bugs" of various sizes, colors, and expressions for this chair. Based on the "Banquet Chair," one of the Campana brothers' highly acclaimed works, the design features a playful touch, with hand-stitched "Bag Bugs" made from vividly dyed goat, Mongolian lamb, mouton, and rabbit fur.
Humberto Campana commented, "When I first saw the Bag Bugs, Fendi's little monster charms, I thought they would be perfect for creating a catchy chair." Creative Director Silvia Fendi added, "The Campana brothers and we share a passion for pursuing creativity and a love for Brazil. This also became an inspiration for the Bag Bugs. I can only say I absolutely love it!"
Furthermore, Fendi Casa unveiled a host of new collections at the 2015 Salone del Mobile. Sophisticated items designed to fit contemporary lifestyles, including sofas and tables that blend design with luxury, were on display.
