Fendi Collaborates with Polaroid to Release a Multicolor "FF Vertigo" Polaroid Camera | FENDI
FENDI
The "Vintage Polaroid OneStep Close-Up 600" Gets a Stylish Makeover
Fendi unveils its 2021 Summer Capsule Collection, "FF Vertigo," a fusion of 70s inspiration and 90s vibes. Among the charming lineup is a special collaboration with Polaroid, resulting in a colorful and exceptionally appealing instant camera.
The Iconic Polaroid Camera Meets Fendi's New Esprit
This Polaroid camera was born from the idea of applying a unique arrangement of the DNA of Fendi, the representative luxury brand of Rome, Italy, to the classic camera from "Polaroid," the company that first introduced instant cameras to the world.
The "FF Vertigo" in the 2021 Summer Capsule Collection title refers to a new magnetic motif that puts a twist on the iconic FF logo pattern. It was created in collaboration with New York-based artist Sarah Coleman, alongside "FF Fish Eye," which appears distorted as if viewed through a fisheye lens.
This "FF Vertigo" motif is applied in multicolor across the entire surface of the "Vintage Polaroid OneStep Close-Up 600," an instant camera that was popular in the 90s. The "FF Fish Eye" logo is also visible next to the lens, synchronized with it.
Released in 1992, the "Vintage Polaroid OneStep Close-Up" is a model that added a close-focusing capability to traditional Polaroid cameras. It uses high-speed Polaroid 600 film, which can shoot even in low light, and features a built-in flash and fixed focus. It's easy to use, produces clear images in various situations, and offers an incredibly versatile instant film experience.
The camera, a fusion of the playful "FF Vertigo" and the highly functional "Vintage Polaroid OneStep Close-Up 600," is sure to be the centerpiece of any cool outdoor adventure.
The "Vertigo" Polaroid camera is available exclusively on Fendi's official online store, fendi.com, starting May 2021.
