First release at The Conran Shop. A speaker designed to be loved across generations for both its design and functionality has arrived in Japan.

The "Transparent Speaker" from Swedish audio brand "TRANSPARENT SOUND" has launched at The Conran Shop, ahead of its general release in February 2020.

All parts are individually replaceable, upgradeable, and repairable

The "Transparent Speaker," which had been generating buzz since its prototype was unveiled via crowdfunding by Swedish design studio People People in 2012, has evolved and made its debut in Japan.

Its excellent design, embodying the Scandinavian design philosophy of simplicity and functionality, along with its high sound quality, is engineered to blend seamlessly with various interiors, ensuring it remains cherished for generations.

Furthermore, all parts of the "Transparent Speaker" can be individually replaced, updated, or repaired. The current landscape for speakers is evolving rapidly, with advancements in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and the anticipation of future AI integration, demanding more than just audio playback. This has led to a reality where devices have increasingly short lifespans and are discarded as they struggle to keep pace with these cutting-edge features.

Addressing these issues of consumer society, the "Transparent Speaker" is the industry's first sustainable audio product, with all its parts modularized. This allows users to continually add the latest features themselves.

It can be cherished and used for a lifetime as a "growing speaker."
