Attention is turning to the "Freno," a digital notebook from KING JIM launching this summer.

In addition to its handwriting function, the device features a document mode for viewing and annotating PDFs, and a calendar function that can be linked to notes, capable of storing up to approximately 87,000 pages of notes.

The screen utilizes E Ink's electronic paper display, offering a crisp and easy-to-read view, much like paper. A front light allows adjustment of brightness and color temperature, enabling use even in dimly lit environments.

Furthermore, to achieve a superior writing experience, it employs a Wacom digitizer and digital pen, reportedly delivering a writing feel as smooth as pen on paper.

The notebook function offers 12 formats each for vertical and horizontal layouts, allowing users to choose from lined, TO DO lists, grid, and more to create personalized notebooks. It also supports adding up to four custom-made formats.

Saved data can be linked via USB cable, microSD card, or the online storage service Dropbox, ensuring seamless usability.
