Experience Immersive Sound as if You Were There with Binaural Recording Headphones
Focal Point, a retailer of essential digital devices such as digital gadgets, PC, Mac accessories, and peripherals, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Hooke Audio for Japan. They will begin selling the "Hooke Verse" in-ear headphones, capable of binaural recording, in Japan. Let's delve into "binaural recording," a method for capturing sound in three dimensions, and its secrets.

High-Quality Binaural Sound Recording
At first glance, the Hooke Verse appears to be a hook-shaped wireless headphone, but it is an entirely new sound capture device. Binaural microphones are built into each earpad, and true to the meaning of "binaural" (from both ears), it can record three-dimensional sound with incredibly detailed and vivid sound imaging.
High-quality binaural sound can be recorded by connecting to a device via Bluetooth recording or a recording cable.
Binaural is a method of spatial audio that creates a realistic sense of presence, as if you were actually there. Simply put, the way we perceive and experience sound differs significantly between stereo and binaural.
In stereo, sound frequencies reach both ears simultaneously, and we perceive sound with both. In contrast, binaural works by having the sound frequency reach one ear first, depending on the sound's origin, which is how we hear it.
This isn't simply about one ear hearing before the other; it captures the nuances of sound as perceived by the eardrum—timing, sound pressure, and fullness—allowing for a deeply immersive sensory experience.
The microphones integrated into the Hooke Verse can capture sound from all directions in 360 degrees, recording it three-dimensionally. Once recorded, the sound can be reproduced as immersive, three-dimensional audio on other headphones or speakers, not just the Hooke Verse.
Furthermore, by connecting devices such as smartphones, cameras, or IC recorders via the headphone jack and USB port, or through Bluetooth, binaural sound can be transferred to mobile devices, making it easy to "experience sound" immersively.
Binaural recording requires the "Hooke Audio Binaural 3D Audio" app (free). Recorded videos can be directly uploaded (or saved) to social media platforms and online storage services like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Dropbox, and Google Drive.
What's more, to play back binaural audio, no special apps or hardware are needed. You can enjoy immersive binaural audio with standard stereo headphones or earphones, which is a welcome feature.
Music playback offers up to 10 hours of continuous use, and binaural recording lasts up to 9 hours. It delivers professional-quality results that satisfy even discerning users for applications such as recording musical performances or documenting travel.
With Hooke Audio, achieve "crystal-clear audio recording, just like reality," on any mobile device, and capture your unique world, which you may never encounter again.
