An Ideal Replacement for Desktop PCs

Since its debut in 1996, Panasonic's "Let's Note" laptop series has been developed and manufactured in-house, surpassing a cumulative production of 5 million units.

Now, the "LV7," one of its summer models, is set to be released.

The "LV7" features a 14.0-inch display and is equipped with the high-speed 8th generation Intel® Core™ processor. It achieves the world's lightest weight of approximately 1.25kg for a laptop with a 14.0-inch or larger display and an integrated optical drive.

Boasting approximately 2.4 times the processing power of its 4th generation CPU predecessors, the "LV7" is equipped with the versatility to serve not only as a mobile PC but also as a replacement for desktop computers, suitable for both desk and mobile work.

The cooling system has also been improved, with thinner fans and an increased number of blades. Furthermore, by staggering the placement of the fans in two upper and lower tiers and employing a phase-inversion shape, wind noise is suppressed, enabling higher rotational speeds.

Thanks to its power-efficient design and large-capacity battery, it can last for approximately 19.5 hours of continuous use.

The keyboard is designed for comfortable typing, with a pitch of 19mm horizontally and vertically for most keys and a key travel of 2mm. Additionally, the inclusion of a wheel pad allows for easy scrolling in any direction, ensuring a pleasant user experience.

It also features stereo speakers, allowing for clear conversations even without a headset. This is convenient for meetings using applications like Skype for Business.

For data interfaces, it is equipped with a USB 3.1 Type-C port that supports Thunderbolt™ 3, enabling high-speed transfers of up to 40Gbps (compared to 5Gbps for USB 3.0). It also includes a DisplayPort™, allowing you to connect multiple displays and devices through a single port.

Additionally, it features a Windows Hello-compatible camera for facial recognition, allowing for quick sign-ins without the need for password entry. This enhances security by preventing issues such as password leaks.

The lineup includes three retail models for individual consumers and four models for corporate clients, differing in CPU and features. Customized models are also available through Panasonic's official online store.

How Let's Note is Changing Work Styles

Panasonic offers a work style reform support service to companies that have introduced Let's Note laptops.

This service visualizes PC login/logout times, keyboard and mouse activity, and application usage. The aim is to improve operational efficiency by enabling employees to review their work habits and make adjustments.

Furthermore, a stress estimation service is scheduled to launch in the summer of 2018, supporting employee well-being and health management from a health perspective. Panasonic continues to evolve, not just with its products, but also with new services that leverage them. We look forward to their future developments.
