The "Roomba 980" is the newest addition to the lineup of robot vacuum pioneers, "Roomba." Born from the three policies of "Smart, Clean, Simple," with an eye toward the comfortable life robot vacuums can bring, this is the next-generation flagship model.

A key feature is the significant advancement in navigation, thanks to the newly developed "iAdapt 2.0 with Visual Localization" system. This accurately maps the layout of the entire floor, improving positional accuracy and thus cleaning efficiency.

It can operate continuously for approximately two hours. When the battery runs low, it returns to its Home Base to recharge. It then resumes cleaning from where it left off. The combination of the new navigation system and this automatic charging and resuming function allows it to clean vast areas of up to 112 tatami mats. It thoroughly cleans the floors of each room, even in homes with complex layouts.

The Roomba 980 features the Roomba-exclusive cleaning mechanism, the "AeroForce Cleaning System," now equipped with a new "G3 High-Power Motor Unit." This dramatically increases suction power, up to approximately 10 times that of previous models, significantly improving its ability to remove dirt and dust.

Additionally, the Carpet Boost function has been added, allowing the Roomba to accurately identify areas requiring strong suction power and clean large floors efficiently. These complex cleaning tasks can be performed with the touch of a button, greatly reducing the effort required for home cleaning.



Furthermore, for the first time in a Roomba, Wi-Fi functionality has been incorporated. With wireless communication capabilities, users can now issue cleaning commands by connecting to their smartphone.

By connecting the Roomba 980 to a Wi-Fi network, you can issue commands from anywhere, at any time, via the dedicated "iRobot HOME" app. The app supports operation from the latest Android and iOS devices. You can also schedule cleanings, allowing you to set a predetermined schedule for the Roomba to operate.
