Introducing "Biosport," Earphones with Built-in Heart Rate Sensor
MODERNITY, which imports and sells audio products, lighting fixtures, and furniture, has begun handling "Biosport," sports earphones co-developed with Intel, from the US brand "SMS AUDIO." The earphones feature an Intel chip embedded in the earpiece to measure heart rate, which can then be displayed and recorded via a smartphone app.

Founded in 2011, US-based SMS AUDIO appointed the globally renowned hip-hop artist 50 Cent as its CEO and brand ambassador. The company offers products based on his philosophy: "Music is my passion, and it's important to provide listeners with the best audio equipment."
With the concept of "Studio Mastered Sound," which also inspired the company name, they develop headphones and speakers capable of faithfully reproducing studio-recorded audio. In addition to their traditional "street" themed models, they have launched 18 models in their sports series and become an official partner of The Walt Disney Company and Disney Resorts in Florida and California, further accelerating their momentum.
Earphones Perfect for "Intel Inside" Activities
The "Biosport" sports earphones, now available in Japan, incorporate a biometric sensor developed by semiconductor manufacturer Intel. By positioning the measurement sensor near the ear canal, it minimizes inaccuracies caused by sweat or movement, enabling precise biometric readings.
The heart rate sensor is powered by the player's battery via the cable, so it can be used without charging, allowing you to enjoy music while monitoring your heart rate.
The earphones are equipped with 12mm dynamic drivers. The sound quality is tuned for a balanced response across low, mid, and high frequencies, delivering clear and powerful audio.
Earphones with IPX4 Water-Resistance
They feature a flat cable for a secure fit that resists tangling during active use. Three sizes of wing-shaped silicone ear tips are included to prevent them from falling out. The in-line remote includes a microphone for hands-free calls.
By installing and connecting the fitness app "RunKeeper" (partially paid) to a compatible player like a smartphone, you can view your measurements graphically and maintain a life log.
