Entering the Final Chapter of the Creator Series

Now in its fifth year, the D&DEPARTMENT x AAF talk event features designer Kenmei Nagaoka in conversation, with architect Takamitsu Hiranuma moderating. The series explores what participants are currently feeling in their respective fields, aiming for a cross-disciplinary perspective on design.

This year, marking the final chapter of the Creator Series, the focus is on Japanese architects active internationally. They will share insights into their work, methodologies, and approaches, offering discussions not heard elsewhere.

The guest on February 4th (Thursday) is Junya Ishigami, known for his innovative and delicate architecture that borders on art. On February 5th (Friday), Sosuke Fujimoto, who challenges new spatial creation and has earned high acclaim both domestically and internationally. On February 6th (Saturday), Go Hasegawa, based in Paris and involved in numerous projects worldwide. And on February 7th (Sunday), Shohei Shigematsu, active in New York.

These Japanese architects, highly regarded both in Japan and abroad, offer a rare opportunity to hear directly about their secrets to global success and their visions for the future of architecture from the next generation of leading figures.
