Spring Flower Design and Mother's Day
May 10th (Sunday) is Mother’s Day. When one thinks of carnations for Mother’s Day, “red and white” often comes to mind, but the variations in flower colors due to breeding and development are deep and wide. This time, we’ll discuss spring flower design and Mother’s Day.

Carnations with Utmost Style
Among FLORALUXE’s signature styles are carnations in vivid grass green "Jig," nuanced and chic pink "Fuga," bi-color "Orange Minami" that offers a delightful mix of orange and pink, the blue "Moon Dust" created with Suntory's genetic modification technology, and the bordeaux and black bi-color "Nobio Burgundy."
Among these, Nobio Burgundy is a variety developed by Dr. Nobbio (Hybrida B.V.) in Sanremo, Italy. Hybrida B.V. is a flower breeding company that has continuously developed new varieties for nearly 100 years since 1920.
Carnations That Don't Look Like Carnations
Carnations, which have spread worldwide as an icon of Mother’s Day, have captivated horticultural enthusiasts—florists—alongside tulips in Europe since the 17th century, a testament to that tradition living on today.
For floral arrangements in shops and other venues, carnations are ideal due to their longevity and the fact that their petals do not scatter. FLORALUXE selects carnations with a luxurious feel, featuring unique colors and petal shapes that make them appear unlike typical carnations at first glance.
Why not offer a fresh surprise this year with carnations that are different from the usual?
