From "Tradition Blooming" to "Tradition and Transmission"

OPENERS previously covered Nicolai Bergmann's floral art installations at the "43rd Traditional Crafts Ceramic Exhibition" held at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store in June, where he adorned works by Living National Treasures. Last year, his "Tradition Blooming" floral art exhibition at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine garnered significant attention for its collaborations with traditional crafts such as ceramics, kimonos, and Hakata dolls.

For "Tradition and Transmission," his first exhibition at the Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo in six years, Bergmann will unveil over 50 new works themed around Japanese culture, featuring collaborations with traditional crafts and artworks by artists, including Living National Treasures, who have inspired him.

Dinner Event to Be Held During Exhibition Period

During the "Tradition and Transmission" exhibition, a floral performance and dinner event will offer guests the chance to enjoy a demonstration by Bergmann, accompanied by a special four-course Italian dinner with three drinks.

Limited edition "Tradition and Transmission" flower boxes, a signature item, will also be available, alongside other special merchandise.
