The Material Magician's Dazzling Dance
Aosando Art Fair: The Noteworthy Exhibition of ANTE VOJNOVIC
The Aosando Art Fair has officially begun today. This event transforms the street connecting Aoyama-dori and Omotesando, known as "Aosando," into a "stage for artistic presentation." Here, we introduce an exhibition that has captured OPENERS' attention.

A Chair That Barely Stands, Forbidden to Be Sat Upon
French artist Ante Vojnovic (ANTE VOJNOVIC) is active across various media, including light installations, sculpture, space design, and window artwork.
The gentleman with the eyes of a boy becomes a magician when faced with materials like light bulbs, bamboo, and wood, manipulating them with ease.
The works presented this time, inspired by chairs, began with laminating wood, leading to the creation of numerous "unstable chairs."
With curved legs and tilted seats, these chairs barely stand on their own and are forbidden to be sat upon, appearing like sentient beings.
The sight of these chairs lined up is spectacular. It's like a tango, with chairs dancing, repeating deep pauses and steps.
Ante Vojnovic's exhibition is held on the basement floor of "Wut Berlin," one of the Aosando Art Fair venues.
If you listen closely, you might just hear the chairs singing.
