Fuel Economy: 17.1 km/ℓ (WLTC Mode)

A diesel engine model has been added to the 2 Series Gran Coupé, which was introduced in November 2019.
It is powered by a newly developed 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that produces a maximum output of 110 kW (150 PS) and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. With excellent combustion efficiency, it achieves a WLTC mode fuel economy of 17.1 km/ℓ.
To further accelerate efforts to reduce environmental impact in Japan, BMW offers the "Edition Joy Plus" lineup. These models, including those with clean diesel engines and EVs, feature modified equipment compared to standard models to offer a lower price. The 218d Gran Coupé is also part of this initiative.
The Driving Assistant, a driver assistance system including collision avoidance and mitigation braking, is now standard equipment.
The prices for the 218d Gran Coupé are: Play Edition Joy Plus at 4.2 million yen, M Sport Edition Joy Plus at 4.58 million yen, Play at 4.48 million yen, and M Sport at 4.86 million yen.
