A Limited Edition A8 Model Focused on its Characteristics as a Driver's Car and GT Car
Audi Japan has announced the "A8 Grand Touring Limited," a limited edition of Audi's flagship sedan, the "A8," with only 50 units available. Sales have commenced.
Sportier with Adaptive Air Suspension Sport, 10mm Lower Ride Height
Since the first generation debuted in 1994, the A8 has reigned as Audi's flagship sedan. The current fourth generation has seen significant updates across all elements, including the lightweight yet high-rigidity Audi Space Frame (ASF) body structure, high-efficiency direct-injection engines, adaptive air suspension, quattro all-wheel drive with asymmetric torque distribution, full LED headlights, and cutting-edge driver assistance systems.
The newly released limited edition model, the "A8 Grand Touring Limited," is based on the "A8 55 TFSI quattro" and focuses on the A8's characteristics as a driver's car and grand tourer.
The powertrain combines a 3.0-liter V6 direct-injection turbo engine with a 48V mild-hybrid drive system (MHEV), linked via a belt to the crankshaft and utilizing a lithium-ion battery. It produces a maximum output of 340 ps and a peak torque of 500 Nm, delivering high efficiency and dynamic performance.
The exterior comes standard with sporty elements such as the Leather Light Package and 20-inch five V-spoke star design alloy wheels in black, along with a sports exterior package.
Meanwhile, the interior is equipped with features that enhance comfort, as expected of a GT car, including the Bang & Olufsen 3D Advanced Sound System, individual electric rear seats with heating, and a 4-zone deluxe automatic climate control system.
Furthermore, to accentuate its sporty appeal, special equipment includes the Adaptive Air Suspension Sport, which is 10mm lower than the standard adaptive air suspension, and a Gloss Black exterior styling package and exterior mirror housings.
The body color also features Suzuka Grey Metallic, an "Audi Exclusive color" primarily offered on Audi RS models.
The "A8 Grand Touring Limited" is limited to 50 units, with a price of 13.91 million yen.
