Japanese Model to Be Revealed in Early April
Mazda has announced plans to introduce four large models to the SUV market, where global demand is high, by 2023. The company aims to expand its SUV lineup by adding to its existing offerings.
The CX-60, a mid-size SUV making its world premiere, is one of these models. It is equipped with Mazda's first plug-in hybrid system, "e-Skyactiv PHEV," which combines a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor, offering enhanced environmental and safety performance.
The exterior evolves Mazda's design theme, "Kodo – Soul of Motion," expressing a blend of toughness and refinement inspired by Japanese aesthetics that harmonize with nature.
Mazda began production of the CX-60 at its Hofu No. 2 Plant in Yamaguchi Prefecture on March 11. The Japanese model is scheduled for release in early April 2022.
