Forester Minor Change: Subaru Adopts New Design Philosophy for Interior and Exterior

e-Active Shift Control Expanded to All e-BOXER Grades
The fifth-generation Forester, launched as a global strategic model in 2018, has undergone a significant minor change.
This major update introduces Subaru's "BOLDER" design philosophy, an evolution of "DYNAMIC x SOLID," to the front fascia and new 18-inch aluminum wheels, enhancing its SUV presence.
In terms of driving performance, Subaru claims that improvements to the suspension across all grades achieve a balance of suppleness and sportiness. Furthermore, the adaptive shift control "e-Active Shift Control" has been expanded to all e-BOXER equipped grades.
For safety, the new generation EyeSight system features a wider-angle stereo camera and improved software.
The lineup includes four models: the "Touring," "X-BREAK," and "Advance," which combine a 2.0-liter horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor (e-BOXER), and the "Sport" with a 1.8-liter horizontally opposed direct-injection turbo.
The body is available in 10 colors, including three new shades, with prices ranging from ¥2,937,000 for the "Touring" to ¥3,300,000 for the "Sport."
